OSHE Foundation, hosted two-day Learning and Sharing Workshop in Cox’s Bazar
On 12-13 November 2024, OSHE Foundation, hosted a two-day Learning and Sharing Workshop in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, aimed at enhancing workplace safety and strengthening the monitoring of work-related accidents, injuries, and diseases in the textile and apparel sector.
The workshop’s primary goal was to equip the project team and stakeholders with the tools and strategies needed to establish a comprehensive accident monitoring system. Discussions focused on reviewing the project’s progress, clarifying the Employee Injury Scheme (EIS), and refining data collection, documentation, and financial management practices.
The event brought together key stakeholders, including OSHE Foundation’s Accident Monitoring team, DIFE representatives Mr. Farid Ahmed, Joint Inspector General, and Mr. Shah Mofakkharul Islam, Deputy Inspector General. Trade Union leaders and other stakeholder also contributed to the workshop. The workshop emphasized collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of actionable strategies to improve workplace safety standards across the sector.
