Building Workers’ Power for Fair and Safer Workplaces
Founded in 2003 in Bangladesh, the OSHE Foundation is a leading social justice organization recognized for its significant contributions to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) rights, core labor standards, green jobs, climate action, and just transition. The foundation provides essential support for workers affected by occupational hazards, work-related accidents, and diseases. It has played a key role in labor law reforms, particularly in the area of OHS. The foundation was instrumental in developing the country’s first National Occupational Health and Safety Policy (2013), the National OHS Profile, and the National Plan of Action for Bangladesh. As a national think tank, the foundation addresses a broad range of issues related to labor sector compliance, OHS, environmental compliance in the industrial sector and supply chain, universal social protection, and the sound management of chemicals and waste, all while promoting sustainable development.
Empowering eOSH Victims for Legal Justice and Fair Compensation
Founded OSHE foundation empower victims of environmental and occupational health and safety (EOSH) violations, as well as gender-based violations at work, to advocate for their rights and protections. By providing comprehensive support in their pursuit of legal justice, fair compensation, and social protection, we ensure that these individuals have the resources, information, and guidance needed to navigate the legal system and secure the compensation they deserve for their suffering. We are dedicated to fostering a supportive community that amplifies their voices, raises awareness about their struggles, and advocates for systemic change to prevent future injustices.
